Flashing lights can sometimes trigger an epileptic seizure


While it is not a common occurrence, there are certain types and frequencies of flashing lights that can cause seizures. In one case, a cartoon featuring flashing lights was aired on TV in Japan. Thousands of children had photic-induced seizures. In the United States, there are protections against the broadcasting of these kinds of flash frequencies.
